ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center announced that they have recently released a bobcat on private land in Roanoke County.

They say the male bobcat came to them in July of 2022 as a small kitten. After spending the winter with the wildlife center, the kitten has since become an adult and is much larger. The center has since sent him back into the wild.

The Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center is a nonprofit in Roanoke. In 2022, they treated over 2,600 wildlife patients and over 250 in their 20-year history. To learn more about the wildlife center, visit here.
