Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center in Roanoke is searching for interns, volunteers, animal transporters

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – With spring on the horizon, the staff at the Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center in Roanoke is in search of people to add to their staff.

They are looking for interns, volunteers and animal transporters.

Last year, due to the pandemic, the staff at the Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center decided not to have volunteers; however, this year, they have begun accepting applications.

Specifically, the center is in need of transporters in their outlying and surrounding counties.

Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center is a non-profit (501(c)3) state and federally-licensed veterinary hospital and wildlife rehabilitation facility, offering care and veterinary treatment to native wildlife of the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas.
