ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – On Wednesday, film crews were in Roanoke working on a mini-documentary that focuses on Encircle’s Minnick Schools.
The school was chosen for an episode of “Viewpoint” that focuses on organizations that make a difference in the lives of families.
Since the school’s founding back in the late 1800’s, it has adapted to serve special needs and disabled students, along with providing foster care treatment, mental health counseling and services for immigrants and refugees.
“We work hard. We’re very proud of our staff. We do a very consciousness job of making sure our students get what they need. So, just to know that other people get to see the greatness of what we see every day is certainly exciting and very encouraging.”
The program will be featured on a future episode of “Viewpoint,” which is hosted by Dennis Quaid.
The episode is expected to air sometime in 2022.
