SALEM, Va. (WFXR) — Salem’s Parks and Recreation Department has announced its 2021 Summer Camp Program schedule for children between second and ninth grades.

The program was cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a result, during this year’s summer camp programs, coronavirus guidelines will be enforced. However, due to some of those guidelines, the department is limiting the amount of children that can take part in each camp.

If, at some point, organizers feel like they can increase camp capacity, those on a waiting list will be among the first options to attend their desired camp.

This year’s camps include:

  • Volleyball
  • Boys’ basketball
  • Girls’ basketball
  • Cheer
  • Boys’ lacrosse
  • Girls’ lacrosse
  • Soccer
  • Forensics
  • Art
  • Football
  • Golf
  • Baseball
  • Softball
  • Tennis
