Route 220 blocked off in Roanoke County due to downed power line

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Monday afternoon motorists may need to seek an alternate route due to a downed power line along Route 220 in Roanoke County.

According to the Roanoke County Fire and Rescue Department, both the northbound and southbound lanes of Route 220 are closed in the Clearbrook area near 7825 Franklin Road.

The department tweeted at 12:41 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 4 that AEP was set to arrive within 20 minutes.
