Roanoke Valley News

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Rejoice! A downtown staple has reopened in Roanoke!

The Roanoke Weiner Stand, which closed down during the pandemic, is back open and is under its fourth generation of ownership, who tells WFXR News that they’re excited to see familiar, smiling faces returning.

Customers tell WFXR News that they’re excited to continue their childhood traditions with their kids and, at the same time, support a local business that’s been a century-long part of the region.

“Places like here and the Texas Tavern, I mean, these people have been around and supporting this community and the town for so many years and it’s just really good to see them back.”

Stephen Gordon, Roanoke resident

The Roanoke Weiner Stand is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
