ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The City of Roanoke is seeking applications from anyone who may be interested in serving on the Star City Strong Recovery and Resiliency Advisory Panel.
The panel will advise City Council on recommendations regarding the expenditure of $64.5 million in funds the city received through the American Rescue Plan Act.
Those who are interested in applying can click here. Applicants should indicate “Committee” for the Type of Appointment and type in “Star City Strong Recovery and Resiliency Advisory Panel” as their first choice.
Applications will be open until 5 p.m. on July 16.
In addition, residents of Roanoke are invited to participate in a virtual town hall about the City’s recovery efforts and use of funds from the American Rescue Plan Act – the first of which will be held on July 20 at 12 p.m. The second will be held on July 21 at 6 p.m.
Those interested in participating in the town halls are required to register with the City Manager’s Office by emailing angela.o’firstname.lastname@example.org or call (540) 853-5309. Registration must be completed by 5 p.m. on July 19.
