ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Police in Roanoke are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a vehicle who, they say, may have knowledge relevant to the case where Jody McFarland died after being hit by a vehicle.

The vehicle is said to be a white Ford Explorer, possibly from the late 1990s.

McFarland was found lying partially in the roadway early in the morning on Wednesday, Jan. 19 in the 3700 block of Williamson Road. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

If you can identify the driver or the vehicle, you are asked to call Roanoke Police at 540-344-8500 and leave a message for Fatality Investigator Foster.
