Police say one in custody after Sunday afternoon shooting at Roanoke hotel

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Police are investigating a shooting that took place at a hotel in northeast Roanoke Sunday afternoon.

According to the Roanoke Police Department, the shooting — which started as a physical fight before it escalated — occurred at the Days Inn hotel on Orange Avenue NE on Sunday, Oct. 25.

There were no reports of injuries at this time, but police say they do have one person in custody concerning the shooting.
