ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Roanoke Police are investigating a shooting in which they say a person sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The Roanoke Police Department says the shooting happened on Thursday, Nov. 17 at approximately 4:00 a.m. in the 1100 block of Forest Park Blvd Northwest. Police say they did not locate a victim at the scene but were able to find evidence of a shooting at a home.

Officers were notified by Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital that a man was there and being treated for what they say are non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. After this RPD officers went to speak with the victim at the hospital.

Roanoke Police say details are limited due to the victim’s lack of cooperation. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. Police ask anyone with information to contact them at 540-344-8500 or by texting 274637, and beginning the text with “RoanokePD”.
