UPDATE 1/17 4:01 P.M.: The Roanoke Police Department says officers have arrested a woman in a homicide investigation.
Police say 48-year-old Charlotte R. Saunders was arrested and charged with second-degree murder over the weekend.
According to reports, investigators identified Saunders as a suspect after a man was found with a gunshot wound in a home on the 800 block of 30th Street NW Sunday, Jan. 8th. Officers say he died at the scene.
The victim’s information has not been released.
Roanoke Police say they are still investigating the incident.

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The Roanoke Police Department is investigating a homicide after a man died in a home on Sunday, Jan. 8.
Police say they responded to reports of a possible homicide in the 800 block of 30th Street NW. Officers say when they got to the home they found a man unresponsive with a gunshot wound.
He died at the scene.
Police say no suspects were found at the incident and no arrests were made. Details about the shooting are limited at this time.
