Police identify victim of Saturday’s fatal crash in northeast Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Police have identified the victim killed after a car crashed into a building Saturday in northeast Roanoke.

According to the Roanoke Police Department, 57-year-old Timothy Gravely of Roanoke, was hit by a vehicle that crashed into a building during the early evening hours of Saturday, April 10 in the 1600 block of Wayne Street NE.

The department says Gravely sustained serious injuries in the crash, but later died at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Police previously announced 46-year-old Timothy Cotton of Roanoke, was arrested and charged with manslaughter.
