ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Police in Roanoke have announced that a shooting took place Tuesday afternoon in the southwestern part of the city, leaving one person hurt.
The Roanoke Police Department says word came in about a person with a gunshot wound in the 1300 block of Rorer Avenue SW around 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16.
Responding officers arrived at the scene and found a man with a non-life-threatening injury outside of a home in that area. That man was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police say nobody is currently in custody and details are limited in connection with this shooting.
This is the fourth shooting since Saturday, Nov. 13 in the Star City, including the two shootings in northwest Roanoke that left two men hurt and the shooting in northeast Roanoke that resulted in a man’s death.
