ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke City Police Department says one man is dead after being shot in Roanoke on May 8th.
Police say that around 8:20 pm on Monday, 911 dispatchers received reports of a person with a gunshot wound on the 3800 block of Panorama Avenue NW. On the scene, officers found a man with serious injuries lying in a parking lot in the area.
Officers performed life-saving measures until Roanoke Fire-EMS personnel arrived. He was then taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for further treatment but later died from his injuries.
Police say details regarding what led to the shooting are limited and the investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made and there are currently no suspects at this time.
