ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – A Roanoke man has pleaded no contest to charges relating to a shooting that took place in December of 2020 that resulted in the death of Brianna Stevens of Roanoke.
Roanoke Police say Tashaun Q. Dixon, 21, was charged with first-degree murder, and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He entered his plea on March 31.
On Dec. 25, 2020, the department says Stevens was found dead with a gunshot wound in the 3400 block of Bennett Drive NW.
Detectives identified Dixon as a suspect in that crime. He was arrested in April 2021.
He also faces charges in a shooting that took place in the 800 block of Queen Avenue NW on April 3, 2021.
Dixon was sentenced to serve 43 years in prison with 13 of those suspended.
