Roanoke Fire-EMS crews remove seriously injured person from roof

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — One person was hospitalized after being removed from the roof of a building along Salem Avenue in Roanoke by first responders.

According to social media posts from Roanoke Fire-EMS on Thursday, Oct. 15, units were dispatched to the 1900 block of Salem Avenue for reports of a person down on a roof.

The department says crews requested a ladder truck to help them safely retrieve the patient, who was then brought to the hospital with serious injuries.
