ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – After a year of inactivity due to the pandemic, Splash Valley Water Park is set to reopen its doors for the summer on Friday, just in time for the Memorial Day holiday weekend!
Splash Valley is home to two 34-foot tall slides, a current river, a “sprayground” for the kids, and more.
The water park is operated by Roanoke County’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism and is advertised to, “promote a great place to cool off during the summer months.”
Splash Valley Water Park is located adjacent to Roanoke County’s Green Ridge Recreation Center at 7415 Wood Haven Road, but does require a separate admission ticket.
Last year, Splash Valley was closed all season due to the pandemic. Friday, May 28 will mark the start of the first weekend the water park has been opened since late summer of 2019.
