ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — If you are ready for spring cleaning and need to dispose of your sensitive information, the Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office is hosting its free “Shred & Drug Take Back” event on April 1st.
On Saturday, citizens across the Star City will have the chance to shred papers containing sensitive information and can bring unused medications to the parking lot of Big Lots located at 2911 Hershberger Road NW from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Sheriff’s office says this event is another service to keep the community safe and avoid identity theft. There is a limit of three boxes or bags of paper and the shreding of bsuiness materials will not be accepted.
