ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — During its April 11th meeting, the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors approved historic tax reductions for county citizens, as well as personal property tax relief.

There will be a three-cent tax reduction for Real Estate Tax, a 10-cent reduction for Personal Property Tax, and a five-cent reduction for Machinery and Tools Tax. The board says this is the first change in the personal property tax rate since 1982, and the first change in the Real Estate Tax rate since 2007.
