ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Roanoke City Public school has announced that their own, Superinted White has been selected as the Region 6 Superintendent of the Year.

According to reports, White was selected by her fellow Western Virginian superintendents, and will now join other regional winners for a chance to be recognized as the Virginia Superintendent of the Year.

Region 6, which Superintendent White is a part of, consists of the following 15 School divisions:

  • Alleghany
  • Botetourt
  • Craig
  • Floyd
  • Franklin
  • Henry
  • Montgomery
  • Patrick
  • Pittsylvania
  • Roanoke Counties
  • Covington
  • Danville
  • Martinsville
  • Roanoke City
  • Salem.

Roanoke City Public Schools says the winner for the Superintendent of the Year will be announced in late April of 2023.
