Roanoke City Police ticket person reportedly driving 52 mph in a 15 mph school zone

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – If ever you need a reason NOT to speed, this would be one. When going through a school zone to be extra mindful of your speed.

Recently, the Roanoke Police Department ticketed a driver speeding through a 15 mph school zone.

The driver reportedly was driving 37 mph over the posted speed limit, resulting in a reckless driving ticket.

Police are using this as a reminder for drivers to slow down, especially while traveling through school zones.
