Roanoke businessman fears for family in Afghanistan

Roanoke Valley News

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – A business owner in Roanoke who has relatives in Afghanistan is concerned over images he is seeing on television about what is going on across the world.

The man, who does not want to be identified for fear that his family might be harmed, has also been getting cell phone images of what is happening there and he fears that something terrible will happen to his mother, sisters and his brother.

He says he came to the United States in 2014 after working with the American military in Afghanistan.

He hopes the same opportunity will be given to his mother and other relatives.
