ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Fox Radio Roanoke 910 AM and 104.3 FM, WFJX will be hosting a radiothon to raise money for the Roanoke Valley SPCA.
On Tuesday, Feb. 23, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., listeners will be able to call in and donate money to the cause, all the while learning about shelter operations, pet retention programs, adoptable pets and the overall mission of the Roanoke Valley SPCA.
This year, is the shelter’s 105th anniversary.

Since 1916, the Roanoke Valley SPCA has provided a safe environment for lost, abandoned, and homeless animals.
Since opening their new building in 2004, over 23,000 cats and dogs have been adopted at the Roanoke Valley SPCA.
Annually, the Roanoke Valley SPCA provides food, shelter, rehabilitation, and medical treatment for over 1,500 homeless animals by ensuring they are altered, microchipped, and healthy before they are adopted.
