Property damaged in downtown Roanoke after overnight shooting

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Police discovered some property damage in downtown Roanoke following reports of a shooting early Friday morning.

A spokesperson for the Roanoke Police Department told WFXR News that officers responded to shots fired in the area of Williamson Road and Campbell Avenue SE at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Friday, July 16.

According to the department, officers found some property damage and a suspect at the scene.

No injuries were reported to the police in relation to this overnight incident.

WFXR News is working to confirm whether anyone was arrested in connection with this shooting.
