Police still investigating after boy injured during Roanoke hit-and-run last week

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Almost a week after a young boy was hurt during a hit-and-run in southwest Roanoke, police say they are still investigating the incident.

The Roanoke Police Department says a call came in about a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian at approximately 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2 in the 4200 block of Cravens Creek SW.

When police responded to the scene, they found a boy under the age of 10 with a minor injury. That child was then brought to Lewis Gale Hospital for treatment.

According to authorities, the vehicle involved in the crash did not remain at the scene.

The investigation into this hit-and-run is reportedly still ongoing.
