ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The search is on in Roanoke County for a man wanted in connection with the theft of an expensive necklace from a jewelry store along Electric Road.
According to the Roanoke County Police Department, just before 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday June 7, a man stole a gold necklace valued at approximately $6,700 from Frantz Diamonds.
Authorities say the man was described as being between 5-feet-8-inches and 5-feet-9-inches, skinny, and in his early 20s. He was reportedly wearing a long-sleeved, navy blue, Mossy Oak shirt; black shoes or boots; a black hat; and a white mask.
Police tell WFXR News the man may have left the store on foot, but may have gotten into a white four-door sedan resembling a Hyundai Elantra that bystanders saw leaving the area immediately after the incident.
