Police say 21-year-old man shot in northwest Roanoke Thursday has died

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Police say the man shot in the 3800 block of Panorama Avenue NW in Roanoke Thursday has died.

The Roanoke Police Department says officers found 21-year-old Brandon Hensley of Roanoke, with a serious gunshot wound after word came in around 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 1 about a shooting victim in the 3800 block of Panorama Avenue NW. Hensley was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.

As of Friday, July 2, though, the department says Hensley died from his injuries in the shooting.

Police are treating this as a homicide, but have not made any arrests in connection with this ongoing investigation.

This news comes just hours after police started investigating another shooting in northwest Roanoke that left another man seriously injured Friday afternoon.
