ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Police are investigating a shooting that left one man hurt in northwest Roanoke on Saturday night.

At approximately 11 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, the Roanoke Police Department says word came in about shots fired in the 900 block of Kellogg Avenue NW, as well as a person who had been hit by gunfire.

When police arrived, they found evidence of a shooting, but later discovered a man had arrived at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds.

Additional officers went to the hospital, where they learned the man had non-life-threatening injuries. An investigation discovered that the man and other people involved knew each other.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
