Police investigating shooting in NW Roanoke; one man injured

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Police are investigating a Thursday shooting in northwest Roanoke that left a person seriously injured.

According to the Roanoke Police Department, word came in about a person who had been shot in the 3800 block of Panorama Avenue NW around 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 1.

When police arrived on the scene, they found a man with what appeared to be a serious gunshot wound outside a residence in the area. He was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Authorities did not find any suspects at the scene and have not made any arrests in connection with this ongoing investigation.
