Police: Friday morning shooting leaves one man injured in northwest Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Police discovered an injured man in northwest Roanoke Friday morning following reports of a shooting.

The Roanoke Police Department says word came in at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 27 about a person with a gunshot wound in the 900 block of Kellogg Avenue NW.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. Members of Roanoke Fire-EMS then transported the man to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

According to the department, authorities did not find any suspects and have not made any arrests in connection with this incident.
