ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Parents, teachers, and students at Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke are getting creative in order to hold a fundraiser during a pandemic.

Each year, the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) at Patrick Henry High raises money to buy winter clothes and gear for students.

However, due to the coronavirus, the group took to social media this year to promote the fundraiser.

As of 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17, the fundraiser’s GoFundMe has raised $1,345 of its $2,000 goal to help Patrick Henry students.
