ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Police say one person is dead and another is injured following a motorcycle crash in northwest Roanoke early Friday morning.
The Roanoke Police Department says officers responded to a crash involving a motorcycle in the 4800 block of Frontage Road NW at approximately 5 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 4.,
Police say they found man and a woman at the crash scene.
According to the department, Roanoke Fire-EMS brought the man to Carilion Roanoke Memorial
Hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
However, the woman was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
Officials say the preliminary investigation indicates this was a single-vehicle crash, but fatality investigators are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the crash.
This is an ongoing investigation.
