UPDATE 5:10 p.m.: Roanoke County Schools says that the water main break near Northside High School has been repaired.
With water service restored to the high school, classes will be open as normal on Tuesday, which will be an A-day.
ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Roanoke County school officials say that Northside High School will be closed and staff will work from home on Monday because of a water main break.
However, Roanoke County Public Schools says this closure only applies to Northside High School on Monday, Aug. 23. Then, on Tuesday, Aug. 24, the school district says the high school will have an “A day.”
Meanwhile, Northside Middle School will open at the normal time Monday morning.
In addition, Northside High students who attend Burton Center for Arts and Technology (BCAT) in the morning either are asked to arrange their own transportation after their BCAT classes or just stay home on Monday.
