ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – After several months of renovations, the Gainsboro Branch Library will be reopening on Tuesday morning.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15 at the library to commemorate the completion of the renovations.
The library will be open on Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday, the library will be open between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Over the course of several days after the official reopening, there will be several events planned at the library.
On Thursday, June 17, there will be a Café Night, which will feature McFadden and Friends starting at 6 p.m.
The next morning, there will be a walking tour with Jordan Bell starting at 10 a.m.
Then, on June 24, Roanoke’s Black History in the 1940’s lecture and book signing will take place with Nelson Harris at 6 p.m.
