BUCHANAN, Va. (WFXR) — New Freedom Farm will host a special COVID-19 safe birthday party for a 13-year-old girl with an incurable disease from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 6.

Olivia Eubanks is the granddaughter of a Vietnam veteran. Due to her disease, she has had to be isolated. New Freedom Farm received this message from Olivia’s mother:

“Got to celebrate today for my little girl who is now 13. She had to spend her birthday last week at Cinci hosp having tests and procedures and stuff. We were gone for 4 days. She has been so sad and down about the whole deal. No party. No friends over. Remote school. But it is for the best “COVID” change has affected the world. But for those like Olivia who walk around daily with an incurable disease that controls their life. I see it affecting her mentally a lot here lately. I see it attacking her system since we found out about it day 1. I see it doing its powerful thing, I see it damaging parts of her that I cannot fix , and I see me being unable to do anything about it. I hate everything about this disease. But what I do not hate and what I love tremendously is the amount of support we have always been shown from our families and friends and this community…”
