ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Nawab Indian Cuisine Restaurant is holding a ribbon-cutting celebration on Tuesday in honor of 25 years in the downtown area of the Star City.
The City of Roanoke Department of Economic Development tells WFXR News that Nawab will be hosting a 25th-anniversary celebration on Tuesday, July 26 at 6 p.m. at 118 Campbell Avenue SE.
Authorities say multiple state and local government officials will be in attendance, such as state Sens. John Edwards and David Suetterlein, Del. Joe McNamara, Roanoke Mayor Sherman Lea, and Salem Mayor Renee Turk.
Since opening in May 1997, the Indian cuisine restaurant has served the community with the finest styles, spice mixes, produce, and proteins. City officials say Nawab’s menu represents multiple regions of India and its food is presented with a variety of cooking techniques.
