FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Stewartsville-Chamblissburg Volunteer Fire Department says five people have been taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on Hardy Road near Bay Rock Marina on April 9th.
According to the Hardy Volunteer Fire Department, around 9 a.m. on Sunday, several emergency responders were dispatched to the 8000 block of Hardy Road for reports of a crash. Upon arrival, firefighters learned three vehicles were involved in the incident, and a person was trapped inside.
Crews began rescue efforts and additional emergency responders were called to the scene to assist with patients. Firefighters say five people were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
The details of what led to the crash are limited, and Virginia State Police are investigating the incident.
