Roanoke Valley News

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – On Saturday morning, fire crews worked to save a mobile home that caught fire in the northwestern part of Roanoke.

According to Roanoke Fire-EMS, they were dispatched to the 1100 Overbrook Street NW at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 1.

When they arrived, they found the mobile home on fire.

Crews were able to contain the fire to that mobile home after initial reports indicated the fire was spreading to a nearby trailer.

Fire crews say they believe the mobile home was unoccupied.

There were no injuries due to the fire.

Power had to be shut off to most of the trailer park due to damage to overhead power lines.

The cause of the fire has yet to be announced.
