Miss Virginia’s Outstanding Teen 2021 crowned in Roanoke Friday night

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The new Miss Virginia’s Outstanding Teen 2021 was crowned Friday night at the Berglund Center in Roanoke.

Ella Strickland, Miss Commonwealth’s Outstanding Teen was crowned on Friday, June 18 by Miss Virginia’s Outstanding Teen 2019-2020 Morgan Rhudy.

Strickland is from Warrenton and is a graduate of Kettle Run High School and will attend Hollins University. She also won the talent award during Friday night’s ceremony with her musical theater vocal performance.

Her Social Impact Initiative is Type 1 Diabetes Research and Support.

The finalists for this year’s Miss Virginia’s Outstanding Teen are:

Strickland will advance to the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen competition next month in Orlando, Florida.
