ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke Police have confirmed that a man was shot Saturday evening in the northwestern part of the city.

According to police, they were notified of the shooting at approximately 6:40 p.m. Saturday.

When officers arrived at the scene in the 700 block of Fairfax Avenue NW, they were advised that the victim, an adult male, had arrived at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, by personal transport, for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers were able to locate evidence of the shooting outside of a business in the area but no persons of interest were located.

Roanoke Police say that no arrests have been made in this shooting.
