Man found shot outside of residence in northwest Roanoke Tuesday

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Police are investigating after a man was found shot outside of a northwest Roanoke home Tuesday night.

The Roanoke Police Department says word came in around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20 about a person with a gunshot wound in the 3500 block of Dona Drive NW.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man outside of a home with what appeared to be non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The man was then taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Details on the shooting are limited and nobody is in custody at this time, according to police.
