Man arrested in New York Friday in connection with 2017 murder in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — More than four years after a woman’s death in Roanoke, authorities arrested a man in New York City on Friday in connection with the homicide.

According to the Roanoke Police Department, Asia Wade died at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Feb. 6, 2017 after she was found unconscious in the 700 block of 29th Street NW.

Police say the NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 36-year-old Rodney R. Dunn in Queens. N.Y. on Friday, June 18 for an outstanding second-degree murder warrant in connection with Wade’s death.
