ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — LeMajor “Lee” Hill will formally announce his candidacy for the Office of Sheriff for the City of Roanoke next week.

The event will start at noon on Saturday, Feb. 20 and will take place at “The Galleria” at 3625 Williamson Road. Masks are required at this event.

“Having served the Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office for over 25 years, I have long worked to ensure positive change for everyone that I have supervised and everyone that I’ve had the pleasure of coming across during my time as an employee of the Sheriff’s Office. I was directly responsible, as a Lieutenant, for every Deputy in the Service Division and all of the civilian staff under my command. My leadership skills and abilities coupled with my professional career achievements and understanding of community make me the right choice.”
