UPDATE: Large police presence on Williamson Road leads to arrest

9:45 A.M. — WFXR has been able to confirm more information regarding the large police presence at the Airport Inn Efficiencies on Williamson Road.

Both Roanoke County Sheriff’s Office and Roanoke Police Department worked with the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearm Bureau to execute two warrants that lead to one arrest. Police say the investigation is still ongoing, and they cannot release any more information at this time.

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — There is a large police presence at a hotel on Williamson Road.

There is little information at this time, but what is known is that there is a large number of officers at the Airport Inn Efficiencies. Agents with the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearm Bureau have also been reported at the scene.

Currently, no roads are blocked.

WFXR has crews on the scene now and has reached out to Roanoke Police and Roanoke County Sheriffs’ Office for more information. This is a developing story.
