Human remains found at Hollins University on Feb. 16 identified as missing Salem woman

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Exactly two months after human remains were discovered on the campus of Hollins University in February, Roanoke County officials identified the remains as those of a missing woman from Salem.

According to a statement released by Roanoke County on Friday, April 16, the remains found at Hollins University on Feb. 16 have been identified as Jessica Darling Dickson of Salem, who was 31 years old when she went missing in spring 2019.

The medical examiner told WFXR News that the cause and manner of Dickson’s death are undetermined at this time.

In addition, the circumstances surrounding Dickson’s disappearance and death are reportedly still under investigation.
