ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Are you looking to kick off the summer by bringing home a new furry friend? The Regional Center for Animal Care and Protection (RCACP) may have the solution.

The RCACP announced on Tuesday, June 21 that it has 24 dogs and 28 cats filling up the shelter as they wait to be adopted into their forever families.

In addition, the shelter says its dog rooms are at capacity.

The RCACP posted photos of more than a dozen dogs waiting to find their forever homes on Facebook, saying that they all “have such unique personalities and they hope that you can take the time to get to know (and love) them for who they are!”

You can also check out the gallery of every adoptable animal at the RCACP by following this link.

If you want to fill out an adoption application, all you need to do is click here. Then, once your application is approved, the shelter will contact you to set up an appointment for a meet and greet.

Meanwhile, the shelter says it has 17 dogs and 18 cats currently on stray hold, so if you lost your pet around the Roanoke Valley recently, call 540-344-4922 to see if they’re at the RCACP.
