BUCHANAN, Va. (WFXR) — The fourth annual “Freedom Fest” kicked off at New Freedom Farm in the beautiful Town of Buchanan this weekend and will continue for the next two weekends for those who still want to check out the food, the horses, and the other festivities.
The fundraising event at New Freedom Farm showcased more than 70 craft and goods vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, and more than 80 raffle baskets. Attendees were also able to learn about wild mustangs, as well as the healing power of horses.
The New Freedom Farm’s founder, Lois Fritz, says the event would not be possible without the help of many community members.
“All of the volunteers that made all of this possible. Some hiding behind you, some over here. And some are already at home and got to take a bath and shower already,” said Fritz with a laugh.
If you missed Freedom Fest this past weekend, you still have a few more chances since the event will continue to run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18; Sunday, Sept. 19; Saturday, Sept. 25; and Sunday, Sept. 26. For more information about this event, click here.
