FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Franklin County Fire Marshals Office is investigating a fire that occurred on the evening of Feb. 16.

Units arrived at the site around 1 p.m. on Thursday to find a two-story private dwelling on fire in the Callaway area. Firefighters battled the fire for several hours before it was able to be extinguished, as crews had to shuttle in water from several miles to put the fire out.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
