FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Franklin County Department of Public Safety reports that a brush fire spread to a house on Diamond Avenue on March 23rd.
On Thursday firefighters say they responded to Diamond Avenue for reports of a brush fire. Upon arrival, crews found the fire had quickly advanced and consumed a nearby house. Emergency efforts were upgraded and additional crews were dispatched to assist with the blaze. Crews safely extinguished the fire with no reported injuries.
The Franklin County Department of Public Safety says the brush fire was approximately two acres.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
