Festival of India brings culture, food, and live performances to downtown Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — This weekend people can get a taste of the Indian culture in downtown Roanoke.

India Heritage Society will host the Festival of India on Saturday, Aug. 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. Those who attend will enjoy and experience the lifestyle, Indian food, and live performances.

The organizers from the Festival of India were on “Good Day Virginia” showing WFXR News’ Hazelmarie Anderson all the amazing Indian cuisine you can taste at the event this year.

The festival takes place at Elmwood Park with free admission. For more information, visit the Roanoke Temple website.
